Biography

Stephen Bartlett is a software engineer, manager, and architect with over 25 years of professional experience with OOP techniques on many platforms. He has many years of in-depth experience in designing and implementing large-scale client/server and web-based systems, with particular focus on high availability, scalability, and throughput.  Mr. Bartlett is an expert on cross-platform (MS Windows, Unix, and GNU/Linux) development utilizing major SQL databases (Oracle and Microsoft SqlServer) and many languages / specifications.

Mr. Bartlett's career has included positions at GO Corp. (team lead), NeXT (manager), Daily Rocket (cofounder and CTO), and IQ Commerce Corp. (VP of R&D, Principal Software Architect).  His current focus, as an independent contractor/consultant, is in the areas of web services, business process automation, and the utilization of open source technologies.

Mr. Bartlett is a Sun Certified ProgrammerTM for Java 2 Platform, and holds a B.S. degree in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine.
